Feminine and antique inspired, but with a modern edge, is how my client described her ideal engagement ring... which is how we arrived at this design together.
For her centre stone she chose out of our selection a truly one of a kind 1.2ct fancy grey brilliant cut diamond. The unique setting style we developed is a nod to antique Georgian cut back style settings, which we have modernised by using an octagonal shape as the base of the setting. Instead of granules we used multiple delicate talon claws to hold the stone in place, which also brought an interesting textured element to the setting, making it more of a feature than purely functional.
The resulting ring is delicate yet strong, floral but with an edge. The perfect modern classic for a contemporary bride.
