Michelle Oh was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. She trained in jewellery design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London.
Upon graduating in 2011 Michelle was invited to launch her debut collection online on Boticca, where she quickly became one of their most popular best selling online designers in Europe. From the strength of her unique style and word of mouth alone, she has since built a strong following both within and outside of UK.
These days Michelle runs her own jewellery studio in Hackney, East London, where almost everything takes place in-house from design to finishing, photographing, marketing and shipping. By keeping the production handmade in limited quantities, greater customisation becomes possible. This is very much in line with Michelle's belief that clients should be able to tweak a design to their liking; to make the jewellery more personal and individualistic to the wearer.
ABOUT THE JEWELLERY
Delicate, whimsical and organically inspired, Michelle combines new and traditional techniques to create a contemporary aesthetic. Special attention is given to the selection of natural gemstones used, showcasing rare cuts and colours not usually found in the jewellery industry.
ONE OF A KIND
In addition to releasing new ready to wear jewellery collections yearly, Michelle specialises in creating bespoke alternative wedding rings for the modern bride. Private clients have hailed from all over the world; USA, Japan, Australia, Russia and beyond.
